CHEMICAL ETCHED METAL TAGS
Chemical Etching - Chemical etching provides a black filled permanent image that is permanent on the material. This process works well for stainless and aluminum nameplates or equipment plates.
Chemically etched nameplates are manufactured by masking certain areas of metal with an acid resistant material. This allows the unmasked area to be dissolved away with acid, resulting in the masked areas remaining in relief. The depth of nameplate etching varies from 0.0015 to 0.003 inches, depending on the height and stroke of letters and the type of metal or alloy.
We offer etched products in stainless steel, brass and aluminum for numerous applications that require durability and long life
When to use:
Aluminum - Best suited for harsh indoor, normal outdoor, not recommended for salt water environment. Extremely durable,. High resistance to oxidation, rust and corrosion, available in various thicknesses depending upon the method of customization.
Stainless - Extremely durable, resistant to some chemicals, highly resistant to oxidation, rust and corrosion, high temperature tolerance, available in a variety of thicknesses depending upon the method of customization.
Best suited for harsh indoor/outdoor environments, well suited for salt water environments.
Brass - Extreme durability, available in a variety of thicknesses depending upon the method of customization.
